Dave DeVries is a Senior Partner at a top Wealth Management Group in the Midwest. He has earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation from the CFP® Board, along with his RICP® (Retirement Income Certified Professional) from the American College of Financial Services and his CKA® (Certified Kingdom Advisor) designation.

A Life Rooted in Faith, Family, and Community
Dave grew up in a home where faith, family, and hard work were part of everyday life. His parents ran their own business, and his dad also served as a pastor which shaped Dave’s early understanding of both purpose and perseverance. From a young age, he was introduced to timeless financial principles through books, business seminars, the Bible and plenty of real-life lessons at home. One of his earliest memories is having three jars labeled Give, Save, and Spend sitting on top of the family fridge. This simple but powerful lesson in stewardship continues to shape how he views money today.
Before becoming a financial advisor, Dave earned his Master of Divinity (MDiv) and served as a pastor for nine years, helping to launch and lead large church campuses. Too many times, as a pastor he would be in pastoral care situations where poor financial decisions had already been made. He knew there must be a better way to help educate people on how this think properly about finances before many mistakes are made. His passion for helping others make wise financial decisions rooted in timeless principles inspired him to write Green Light Millionaire™.
When he’s not in the office, Dave loves spending time with his wife, Jackie, and their kids, Ethan and Emma. He stays active by hitting the gym, hiking, biking, or playing sports with his family. Giving back is a big part of his life as he’s been involved with the LSS Mentoring Program for over 20 years and has also served with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Special Olympics. He’s also an active member of Embrace Church, where he continues to serve in multiple roles.
